Merry Xmas!!

Yay! Even Eeyore is ready for Xmas. =D Mmm... but anyway, that's the Santa Eeyore I bought on 23rd. It's actually 12-inch and cost only $10. It's so adorable! But well, I'm an Eeyore freak... Cos if u go here... I actually bought another Eeyore plush on 17th June. Haha.

Oh! Tokin bout being an Eeyore freak... on the 24th, I actually bought an Eeyore handphone holder & handphone deco! Lol. I juz can't help it lah, =P.

Anyway I've gotten over the whole thing bout my grades, juz that I didn't have time to update my blog =P. I was listening to the radio the other day (yap yap, during office time, haha) & they had reporters over @ Sri Lanka & Thailand, which reminds me of the Sri Lankans. I really shldn't brood over my results & learn from the Sri Lankans... they lost their homes & yet they can live on so cheerfully. Btw, thanx for all the consolations! =)

Meanwhile, I wonder how are the ppl in Balapitiya doing... R the beds & shelves that we made still there? Haha. I wonder if the beds & shelves could tahan until now. Was watching a documentary on tsunamis & there was this team of experts (geophysist, tsunami expert, oceanolographer, blah blah) who went on a 14-day expedition to check out what really caused the tsunami. So... it was actually a sudden release of energy that caused an underwater slope to increase its height by 40m. The increase in height spread thru the fault line "at double the speed of a bullet".

And yes Joo, I like watching documentaries since young. They are so interesting wat!! I like watching animal documentaries also!! Not interesting meh? Hmmm...

Miracles don't happen twice...

Yap, I keep harbouring the tot that the miracle will happen the 2nd time, but it didn't. Instead, my CAPs dropped from 3.05 to 2.99. Not even a 1/4 of a miracle happened. Why? Cos I got my 1st D+ in CE, and a damn C for my Eng Prof. And I tot I'll get good grades for the module I got D+ cos I was confident of the exam paper. Well, it may be my lab, or mid-term that pulled down my grades. I've decided to apply for review of this module, so I'm still hoping that the marker left out a page when he was marking, or that he calculated the marks wrongly.

This coming sem will be even harder. I hope I can graduate with an honours instead of only a pass in degree...

Teng's wedding

I realised I haven't been really updating my blog.... Went to the wedding of my colleague (Teng) during the weekend... the church wedding on Saturday & the wedding dinner on Sunday. She told me that I'm invited to her wedding a few months back & asked me for my address so that she can send me the invitation card. I was super surprised when I received the invitation to her wedding dinner.

Well, this shows that I really made good frens during my times in STP mag aft my As. The 5 months that I spent with these colleagues were short, but crucial times, cos we were the so-called "new blood" (the company wanted to change "new blood"). All the OTs, month-end closings... and we even moved office!! We packed up till nearly 9pm & ordered pizza for dinner during the move-out day. Haha. V memorable times there.

Anyway... v happy to see Teng getting married. I think she really went quite a long way with her husband (long way not as in duration wise lah, haha). Her husband was a drug addict & ex-inmate & only finished his education till P2 & he's now working full-time @ a missionary (called Breakthrough Missions) that counsels drug addicts & inmates. Teng on the other hand is a poly grad & later graduated with a degree with honours @ SIM. They gotta noe each other via Teng's mum's food stall. Rumoured that someone realised Teng gave him extra large plate of bee hoon whenever he patronise the stall. Haha. But Teng explained that cos the mum noes bout the missionary & instructed Teng to do so. Lol. Hmmm... anyway, their church wedding was a v touching one, nearly teared. I think both of em have v great parents as both Teng & husband were from single parent family.

On to the wedding dinner. It started off with a v cute way of the couple walking down the red carpet...

So cute, haha. But I didn't managed to catch the 2 of em on my camera. They were wearing super cheena costumes with the guy having a pig tail. Haha.

Anyway, the dinner became a *ahem* quite spiritual one. No offence here to Christians, but it's the 1st time that I attend a wedding dinner where the ppl keep singing Christians songs (Hokkien one somemore) & do a few prayers. Haha. The singers are actually from the missionary that the guy is working @. I can't stand that these people actually mention that the bridegroom is a drug addict blah blah, during all the prayers & b4 most of the performances. It's like they keep emphasizing that it's a miracle by God that a guy whose education level is only until P2 marries a uni grad.... Luckily the bridegroom is not affected by it.

Anyway, that's juz sth bout the dinner. But I enjoyed it lah. The food is nice & I get to eat my favourite yam paste in double-portion cos half the table was gone by the time dessert comes. Heh. And Teng is so pretty!! (erm, but this photo is too blur... and I didn't managed to shoot the bridegroom)

She went jogging for dunno how long b4 her wedding so that she'll look pretty during her wedding. Haha. She gave me the motivation to go jogging cos I've to be my cousin's jie mei during her wedding in May. Congrats to Teng!! (Though she doesn't read my blog, haha.) She is finally a Mrs. & she can now eat all she wants!! Haha.

As for Friday... I went back TJ with my sis to watch TJ's band performance cos my sis's fren is playing for the band (my sis's fren juz finished her Os, trying to see if can appeal thru band). The performance was not bad lah, cos I knew half the number of songs. Why? Cos they played quite a few Xmas carols & their ending song was Hidamari No Uta by Le Couple, v v nice Jap song. And when they were playing xmas carols, they wore Santa's cap & this guy is extra lah...

See the guy who made his hat pointed? -_- so AA(attract attention). Haha.

I was searching for the clay that I've decorated a few years back during 25th anniversary. Each of us were given 1 piece of clay & we were asked to decorate it & they will harden it then plaster it onto this stretch of walls in the college. And I found my clay with my signature & footprint on it!!

Hai... memories.... that was like more than 3 years ago?? @ least I left my footprint on the college's wall, literally. Haha.

Ok, gtg sleep, it's nearly 12am now. Countdown 1 more day to results day, 3 days to end of work, 5 days to Xmas!!

Seriously, I dunno y so many gers like the new pink razr V3!! Ok lah, no offence, juz a comment, cos I dun really like shocking pink haha. But if Motorola has a TRUE blue razr, instead of the one below that looks like silver...

I might be crazy over it too, budden pink appeals to more ppl I supposed. Haha.

Gold!! And it's razr V3i, the improved version somemore!! But I bet u can't afford it, cos there's only 1000 golden V3i worldwide (worldwide, not in Singapore only) & will only be sold @ D&G shops. So if u wanna get a cheaper V3i, u can consider the silver version...

which is quite pretty also lah. This is another reason y u shldn't buy the pink/blue V3, cos V3i is coming soon. V3i has expansion slot, voice commands, 1.23 megapixels camera and longer standby time. And I dunno y but it has a weird but innovative function called "airplane mode", which means u can listen to ur mp3s on ur razr when u're on the plane... why hasn't any1 tot of an electronic device which u can listen on the plane until now? And amazingly time passes quite fast, haha. But I still hate the agency...

ok lah, hate is too strong a word, hehe. DISLIKE!! I shan't name the agency, but it's some big job agency that I'm sure all of u who signed up with job agency have signed up with it. My pay is a pathetic $5.50/hr, which is the same as the last time I worked for this company. When I asked the consultant for a pay raise, he commented, "Ok, I'll ask ur supervisor bout it." DUH!! Can't he juz deduct aaaa bit of $ from the commission he got? It's like my ex-company told he that they WANT me to go back to work, he dun even need to go & look for other temps, it's like easy $. Juz raise to $6/hr for a poor student like me also cannot meh... >=( Still wanna me to go down aft my 1st day of work to sign the contract...

And the last time I worked for this company, the agency had these 2 terms on the contract that don't allow me to take leaves (sick leaves muz be certified with a MC) and if I wanna quit, I need to give a 2-week notice ON TOP OF a compensation of 2 wks' pay from me to the agency. Wth!! And this time, they changed the terms to allow me to take no-pay leaves & only a 2-week notice is required if I wanna quit, w/o any compensation. "It's more flexible for u this way." If he gives me the same terms, I'll tell him I'm not doing this job. He can jolly well go look for another person to replace me.

Argghhh. I'm juz ranting. Haha. I think I'll end my contract earlier cos I wanna go start driving lessons. And this is the last vacation I'll have within 1 year's time cos I need to do vacation internship the next hols. Shall give my 2 weeks notice on Fri. Haha.

Stupid Cambodian King (nickname given to the previous Chairperson), didn't even clear up the clubroom, it was so damn untidy loh. We were like clearing 3 or 4 batches of rubbish. We even found a locked black suitcase. We definitely cant throw it away lest ppl think that there's bomb inside. Haha. I was thinkin of trying to unlock using 000 to 999, but I gave up @ when I was @ 054. Haha. In the end we used sth like a screwdriver to open it up. All that was inside were photos of CE club, all the way from 1998!! *faints*

XX also heard flesh parade instd of forgot wat word liao.. dunno wat she thinking..tsktsk.. there were many many other funny instances.. cant rem them all liaoz

nxt after the very tiring stomachachey taboo, we tried a bit of pictionary and finally decided to play a reflex game Jungle Speed to end.. it involved snatching a totem when certain cards appeared.. n amy juz snatches at every specialcard seen... also she kena fake by les' obvious shift of special card..[some1 made a mistake and all of us had to take back 1 card. Amy is aft Charles & Charles made a comment that "aiyah, then all of u noe my card liao", while he take out another card. Amy, thinkin that Charles is gonna put his previous card, snatched the totem. Haha] this game involved a lotta conc to minor detail cos the symbols all differ by only a bit...

After tat. chilling out a coffee bean where we spied on this ang moh lecturer marking NUS exam scripts... so ironic tat we were merely seperated by a glass pane n we were talking behind his back literally.. juz 30 cm away from him... imagine if u were the one who took his PL module [ppl, I found out that PL is philosophy, n that lecturer was sitting OUTDOORS, imagine the script flew away...]n he was marking ur script there.. or if his cigarette butt suddenly causes ur script to burst into flames... after much MUCH deliberation ( akin to our mass msn chat) we settled on thai express where i had chulalongkorn fave dish..."

U guys can go play next week lah, the next time we can all go together will be 6 mths later... Boohoo...

Anyway we went for dim sum buffet yesterday, all of us, CEPT FOR GORDON... he pang seh us again. Quick plea us, mayB we can photoshop u into the grp picture. Haha. Anyway here's a picture I took of the xmas tree there...

Aft that went to walk ard in City Hall area for nearly 2 hrs to wait for Aimei, Candy & Sharon to come to buy Bingjia's present. Guys presents are so hard to buy!! Aiyoh. We bought part 1 of the present & as for part 2.... I think we're going to buy today mayB. But I'm so tired of walking ard... I got a blister on my foot yesterday loh... Hai...

I've juz checked when my results come out. 21st Dec, 7pm... oh well, luckily it's not on 25th Dec again. But I hope miracles can happen again like last year...

I dun understand why is it that the guys in my 2 groups of frens are so not automatic. Gers initate the buying of the bday presents, the celebration of every1's bdays, gatherings etc... They dun do their jobs as simple as booking of venues, buying of cakes, or even juz come out n be a model for buying clothes as present. "Don't feel like it" is already enuff, do they havta use words like "why bother to ask me if u want me to go"? Disappear & set "Busy" mode during mass MSN chat, but nv even bother to read wat the rest had chatted about?

I dunno why I'm so angry today. It has been so long since the last time I'm so angry that I cried.

End of complaint. U can curse me if u want, juz dun argue with me.

Abit-cliche-plot (ger meets boy, they bicker, but managed to discover each other's good traits, fall in love, but sth bad happens next...), but I still like it, cos there's a happy ending. =) Surprisingly, the movie is already 3 weeks old but the cinema was 3/4 full!!

Anyway, I happened to see a guy fren G, on the going-up-escalator when I was on the going-down-escalator, and he was with a MEI NV (aka pretty ger)!! I waved to him & yet he didn't see me. MayB BJ blocked me. Haha. My exams last year ended on Fri 26th Nov 04!! Which is somehow equivalent to Fri 25th Nov 05.

Woohooooo

I've never been so glad that my exams are over... I dunno y but this is my worst sem ever.... But well, IT'S OVER!!! Pls dun be jealous of me if u're still having exams =P.

Went Sitex @ Expo juz now with Lisheng & Zhao Yong. Kinda paiseh cos the 2 guys didn't have anything to buy in mind, I think they juz wanted to go out since their last paper is gonna be on this coming Monday. Bought the hardisk I've been thinkin for damn long. Haha. Finally!! Bought a 40Gb 2.5" @ $122 with casing, but I had to fix the thing myself. I didn't know the thing is so easy to fix, hahaha

Next up, the things to do...

Sat: accompany Cousin Kaixian to go gown-fitting, celebrate my parents bday belatedly(my mother & father turned 55 & 61 on 20th Nov & 25th Nov respectively)

Sun: Chiong Zhen Ming Tian Nv

Mon: Go subordinate court, clean up CE club room

Tues: Watch Just Like Heaven. Tentatively only me & LS. Anyone else??

Wed: Watch Chicken Little. Tentatively me, Amy, Jiali, Joo.

Hmm... My plans are until here. But I think I'll be watching Zhen Ming Tian Nv everyday. Hahaha. @ least I know the ending is happy (but a bit rush & weird).

I think so lah, since it has been so cold & nearly continuously raining for the past 24 hours.

Damn! Juz when it's during my exam period... I was supposed to wake up @ 8.30am, but I woke up only @ 9.30am, cos my father was shouting @ my maid for not tellin him that my mother took his trousers to Malaysia to alter........ If not for his shoutings, I wld still be asleep... nice and comfortable on my bed...

Well, the shoutings are kinda blessing in disguise. Wahahaha.

Anyway... I think I've been slacking too much. This is bad. I can forsee a CAP of below 3.5 this sem... Btw, do u noe I need to get 3.8 this sem to raise my overall CAP to 3.2? I need a miracle that happened 1 year ago. 神啊！请救救我吧！！！

Suay sem

Finished my EG1415 yesterday. Was late for 15 min cos of a major jam from NP till Clementi. Felt quite cheated. Could have slept @ 11+pm instead of so late, the helpsheet that I continued to do from 11+pm to nearly 2am wasn't out in the exams. Sian. Angry. And the invigilators were so ngiao. Luckily I used double-sided scotch tape to stick the 2 pieces of paper together. The ang moh invigilator took my helpsheet and was like trying his v best to split my helpsheet... Lincoln wasn't so heng... his glue wasn't strong enuff to withstand the shear that the invigilator made on the paper. If u dunno wat is shear, juz noe that Lincoln's helpsheet was confiscated...

As for my Struct II... Felt cheated again. For part 1, I studied much more for portal & cantilever methods & influence lines, which we weren't given any assignment nor test.... but the lecturer only gave questions on matrix methods, which we were given 3 assignments and was tested... Arrrrgghhh... The worst thing was there was an easier question but I didn't manage to finish it... For part 2, there were 2 killer questions... I've nv seen that kinda questions in my life. Arrgghhh...

Now I dun care liao. I shall do my ZZ1001 module, aka SLEEPING!!! Very tired. Also cos of the psycho who keep calling me. Made a police report & I've decided that I'll go subordinate court on Mon to make a civil sue on that person. He's really damn bo liao. Still called me again @ 12+am today & sms me digusting stuffs.

Mugging in school

Went to sch to mug today with Amy, Cailing, Jiali & Joo. Though the bus journey was more than 2 hours, I think I accomplished more than wat I'll do if I stayed @ home. But I still think I wasn't v productive... finished only 1 & 1/2 chapters for struct. Arrrggghhh!!!

The most HAPPENING event of the day was the screams of Cai & Joo when we were walking down the slope from LT6 to comp. ctr. bus stop when going home @ 11pm. I only said "hmmm?" & b4 I can ask if the bus that juz reached was our bus, the 2 of em started screaming.... got so scary meh -_-... We started runnin for our buses but only Cai got up her 96, cos the 95-which-we-think-is-151 went away b4 we reached the bus stop... N Joo say it's my fault... =(

Anyway... we saw Abel on the 151 that we took. I was so happy that the uncle on the 151 drove v fast, cos it's v windy (it's a non-aircon bus) & I'll get home earlier. But my happiness was for a short time only. Cos 5 stops later, the engin of the bus died.... Joo got down to change to her bus which was behind 151, leaving me & Abel on the dark bus... A few minutes later the bus uncle told us to either take another bus or wait for another 151 to come (which might take a long time 'cos the 151 we took was the last bus, but the uncle called for help). In the end both me & Abel took 154, but he dropped @ Raffles Town Club. And he nv tap his card!!!! Tsktsk. He told me his bus pass juz ended. Haha. No wonder he said sth like, "Wahlao, of all days..."

End of story. I wanna sleep. I'm tired. Sianzzz

My 5th exams in NUS

I'm sick of it, but I still gotta withstand the stress 3 more times aft the 5th...

6 more days to my 1st paper, 13 more days to the end of it... and yet I had my last test 3 days ago... (9th Nov) and I think I flung it, but well, every1's gonna flung, so I'm ok with it. 大家一起死， 会死得比较好看, haha. Sounds kinda crude but that's the truth mah...

Anyway, I dun have lessons on 8th Nov, but went to sch in the afternn & squatted @ Amy's hall for the night. Thanx gal for letting me stay in ur room =D Amy is so hardworking!

Photo taken @ 10.18pm, when I felt bored. Haha. We wanted to study as long as possible cos both of us were gonna have test the next day. But at 2am... the DJ from 93.3fm was knockin off from work & she played a lullaby.... So we decided to sleep. Haha. Hardworking Amy work up at 5am to continue studying while the lazy me slept till 7am. I left Amy's room @ 7.30 to have breakfast @ YIH...

But it suck. The kaya tasted different and the ice coffee was ultra diluted!!!! I miss the kaya toast & ice coffee made by the previous aunties & uncle... ='(

As for today, went Bedok to study with Aimei. Turn out I went to buy my jeans (cos 1 of my jeans was torn due to wear & tear...) & from 2+pm to 4+pm, we studied in the lib's cafe. Aft that we decided to leave the place cos we wanted to go Bras Basah's newly opened Popular to see if there's any stationaries we need to buy. After that we went to Muji @ Bugis Junction to buy somemore pens (cos Muji has nice-coloured pens), haha.

So in the end, I only studied for 2 hours today. The rest of the time spent when I reach home was to chat online, on the phone & print stuffs.... I muz continue to mug in sch later!! Supposed to meet @ 9am in sch, but I think I'll reach @ 11... Haha

Anyway... I think I might be thinking too much... Haha. Time to sleep!!

Within a wk, 2 of my frens already sent me email that goes:

If u take juz a few seconds to read the 2nd paragraph of terms and conditions on the site, it says:

No User may participate where doing so would be prohibited by any applicable law or regulation."

I'm not angry with my frens for forwarding this kinda thing to me, but it's juz that I feel that we shouldn't be so ignorant to believe that the free ipod nano/mini is for real. Sth like, "Wow!! Free ipod nano!! And I juz need to refer a few frens!!", then immediately sign up...

Usually this kinda sites collect emails, which will later on be used for spam. Even though the privacy policy says that they will not spread the email addresses to 3rd party, u might not know what they'll do with ur email address when they're poor (they can sell ur email addresses to advertising companies w/o u knowing).

Anyway Singapore seldom have this kinda free stuffs aft u refer "N" number of frens to sign up, usually it takes in the form of contest/lucky draw that's all. So why is there such good stuffs in USA? I dunno, juz compare their Wheel Of Fortune to ours... They can afford to give away so much $ for a game, so y not give out ipod nanos by getting email addresses?

So conclusion is... I think we Singaporeans are quite 贪小便宜, ok lah, but ipod nano is not cheap, haha.

My T2 lab report was supposed to be due last Thurs. But since it was a public holiday, I emailed the lab TA askin whether I can submit the lab report on Fri instead. The lab TA replied saying "sure, no problem".

I happily (ok, not v happy... abit kan cheong) went to transport lab to submit my report on Fri but I don't see the lab TA there. I then asked another transport tutor where the lab TA is. The tutor told me he has nv heard of that name b4 & asked me y I'm lookin for him. I told him that I'm here to hand in T2 & he told me to go to the office nearer to the entrance.

Juz now I was lookin for some notes when I saw the T2 lab manual that I've printed out. There was a name that I've written on the manual & I realised I've mixed the T2 lab TA with the G4b lab TA.

The stupidiest thing was... the G4b lab TA actually replied my email even though the module code that I've entered in the email was transport's module code... Luckily I didn't see the T2 lab TA that day, if not I'll be even more malu...

Aarrrrggghhh!!! Why am I so blur??!!!

Nearly 3 concerts in 1 week

If u consider Singapore Hit Awards to be a concert too, haha. But I didn't go, cos not alot of stars I really like is going. SHA juz finished on radio and JJ and Stefanie are the big winners, followed by Mayday. Amy is so happy that she teared!! Haha. Congrats to all the winners! The only award that I'm not happy with the result is the Media Recognition Award -- New Local Act. Sly actually won the award instead of Jones!! Arrrgghhh.... Can't believe this...

As for the remaining 2 concerts, I went to Z Chen's concert in sch on Monday & Ocean's concert yesterday.

Z Chen's concert was superb!! Z Chen is actually very charming! Ok lah, the cute type of charming. Heh. Here's some of the photos:

I bought his CD on the spot @ $15 & got his autograph. See the blue arms in the last pic? It's mine, but Joo dunno how to use my handphone's camera... ='( Ok lah, I really enjoyed the concert, cept that my poor left foot got sat on by some asshole fatso. He sat in front of me and he wanted to catch the poster than Z Chen was throwing. I was taking photos with my phone when I saw sth flying in my direction. The next thing I know, I felt a force on my left foot and the fatso got the poster. What I concluded is he jumped using his butt, which landed on my foot...

Let's do some calculations here. Let's say the guy is 70kg and the area of my foot is 0.1m X 0.2m = 0.02m². Let's take gravity to be 9.81m/s². Therefore...
Force on my foot = 70 X 9.81 = 686.7N
Pressure on my foot = Force/Area = 686.7/0.02 = 34335N/m²
This is equivalent to be having something of more than 2660kg dropping on my body...

Actually I was juz trying to tell u how painful it was, especially when my left foot was already hurt... ='( Aft he used jumped using his butt and caught the poster, I was telling Amy (who was beside me), "Wahlao! He sat on my foot loh!!" And I was damn loud. The guy didn't even turn ard n apologise. Near the end of the concert, Z Chen continued throwing posters and this guy continued to wanna catch somemore posters, this time standing up. I told Amy if he's gonna step on me again I'll kick him. Haha. Too bad, he didn't do that, if not I'll be kicking some ass (pun intended, haha). Conclusion made bout the guy: He is not only fat, but he is deaf, and I think most of his fats are concentrated on his butt cos he can't even feel it when he sat on ppl's foot.

Saw him today aft my Transport lecture & Miao told me he's also from CE!! How come I've nv seen him in CE lectures? Hmmm....

As for Ocean's concert, I juz wanna hear him sing live, I dun care how he looks like. But the concert was quite disappointing though I expected something lydat. It lasted for only 1hr... So sad...

On Tues we celebrated Cai & Charles' bday, but I shall blog bout that tmr cos I wanna upload photos but I dun have anymore USB ports to connect my handphone to haha.

Time to catch my beauty sleep! I think I really need more sleeping time...

Happy 23rd bday to Charles & Yushun!! Too bad they dunno each other, cos I think it's really cool to noe that there's some1 with the same bday as u.

Anyway, it's the start of week 12, which is bad for me 'cos

1. I've been watching toooo many shows
2. There's not many assignments to do
3. Adding to point 2, I haven't been attempting the tutorials
   
4. I don't understand what the heck most of the lecturers are tokin bout
5. I still feel tired no matter how long I sleep
6. The worst thing is, I dun feel like doing any sch work...
7. And for the 2 mid-term tests that I had, both were a bit below average...

I hope I'll start studyin, if not I'll get back grades I had back in year 1... I'm praying for @ least an A this sem, but it seems like it's kinda impossible...

Finished lessons on Wed @ 12, had my lunch @ Grinning Gecko (alone, cos the rest went home or didn't even come sch... sobz...). Had the worst pasta in my life... I think Engin Canteen's pasta is better, for once... Aft that was wondering if I shld go Chinatown to buy CDs & I saw 33, which makes it juz nice for me... In the end I bought Ocean's CD with 2 tix to his 1st concert. So excited!! Heh.

Aft that I suddenly remembered that I need to go CityLink Mall to collect my TCC voucher & went down to the mall. On my way, Synovate called me down to their office to do a survey on camera mobile phones. Since Burlington Square was quite near to CityLink Mall, I decided to go down to their office aft collecting my voucher. Synovate then gave me a $20 NTUC voucher for doing the survey.

I recalled Lisheng saying sth bout 4getting to buy sth aft our trip to Sim Lim last week. So I called him to ask wat it is and helped him bought his LAN cable. Aft that walked ard to ask on Nokia 6670 & 7610 prices cos my maid is helping her cousin (in Indonesia) to buy a hp. In the end I got 6670 @ $490!! So ppl, if u need to get a phone w/o contract, try Sim Lim 1st floor, u can get quite good deals!

Anyway, that's how I spent 6 hours on my short sch day... as for Thurs, I skipped sch cos I was having headache... and I kinda slacked the whole day...

I really muz start mugging... MUGGING!!! Same goes to my sis whose Os are coming this Monday...

My sis downloaded this song and I kupo from her =P. It's the ending song of a Taiwanese show that juz started 5 weeks ago & it's only until the 5th episode now. My sis & I have been downloading the file from Taiwan sites to watch this show, haha.

Btw, the show's called 《恶作剧之吻》. If u find the name of the show familiar, bravo! U've good memory! Cos ard 7 or 8 years ago, there's a Jap show with the same name, acted by 柏原崇. These 2 shows are adapted from the same Jap manga, though the storyline is quite different. I think if u've SCV, u'll be able to watch this show on CTV (I dunno wat channel is that though, haha), on Sundays, 10pm.

So why did I choose this song? Cos I think the singer sound quite sweet, haha. And also cos the 1st verse kinda reflects on wat happened to me, heh.

The Visually Disabled Couple

I was thinking this will sound better than "The Blind Couple" ("blind" sounds like they chose the wrong partner of sth...).

Yah anyway, I think some of u noe that there's this blind couple staying in my area. I dunno y I saw em for quite a few times already and for the past 1+ years, I've helped em ard 3 or 4 times up the buses that they wanna take. (Sometimes, other ppl took the initiative to help em b4 me, heh)

I 1st saw em ard 1 year ago, though I've stayed in this house for nearly 9 years. I presume they've stayed in this area for quite long since they look quite old (ard 50 to 60) & this area is quite popular among the elderlies. Anyway, back to the story. I saw em walking across the road, towards the bus stop opp my house, when I was waiting for 154 to go Clementi to meet Lisheng. The old lady was holding the left arm of her husband. The moment they reached the bus stop, they asked for help. I went up to em since I was the nearest. They were waitin for a bus to go to Aljunied MRT and so I waited for the bus with em. My 154 reached b4 their bus and I was late already. So I SMSed LS telling him I'll be late cos "I'm helping a blind couple". Later on when I met LS, he told me that his camp mates said I was probably lying to him cos usually only 1 person (of a couple) will be disabled.

Well, I think it's cos both of em are blind, kinda makes em bond together isn't it? I mean look @ the old couples ard u, any of em are still this loving? I always find it so sweet whenever I see em. They are quite friendly too! Chatted with em the last time I accompanied em to wait for their bus.

Anyway, I always wanted to blog about this couple, but I always 4get. I saw a little ger leading the old lady today when I was walking home from the bus stop. Makes me wonder where the old man is, I hope he's ok.

Sometimes, we shld really look on the nicer side of things that we see =)

Wat are kids afraid of?

I muz post this entry b4 I 4got bout it, cos I find it quite interesting. Heard it over news on Channel 8 a few days ago. So, wat are kids afraid of the most?

PRC kids: Of not being able to breathe
American kids: Of being knocked down by a car

So, wat are Singaporean kids afraid of the most? Failing exams.

So wat's the conclusion? U noe, I noe, =P. Haha

Drama of the nite

Was doing my Geotech lab when I heard screams. I tot the screams came from the ITE opp (see map below, haha) my place when I heard my mother saying sth in the kitchen. So I went over the kitchen to take a look.

Turns out that on the 12th floor of Blk 55, on the circled corner of the picture (I stay on 15th floor of Blk 56) there was this old man locking the door, another man pulling a woman who was screaming. Few moments later I saw a guy on the 11th floor of Blk 55 walked back into his living room from the window, took the phone, came back to the window again, think he called the police. Meanwhile the lady was still screaming and she was holding onto the railings in front of her house while the man was still pulling her.

1 min later, the neighbour came out from the house to see wat is happening and stopped the man from pulling the woman. The woman continued screaming in Mandarin, begging ppl to call for the police and saying sth like her husband told her he's gonna throw her down the building. More neighbours came ard and the woman was screaming sth like askin the neighbour beside her not to touch her.

5 min later, fire engines arrived, followed by the police and ambulance. Even when the firemen came, the woman was still screaming, saying she wants the police. My mother was so Kpo that she went downstairs to count how many fire engines were summoned. In the end the woman was escorted by 3 policewomen while the remaining policeman asked the husband what happened.

End of drama. But later on my mother came back and she told us she saw our neighbour downstairs who noes the old-man-locking-door. My neighbour told her that the husband suspect the woman of being under black magic and wanted to bring her to see a medium, where all the drama starts...

10 policewomen/men, 6 fire fighters, 3 fire engines... these are the ones that I saw & noe of (the fire engines were wat my mother told me). I wonder if those who helped by calling 999 or 995 were fined since it wasn't a v serious case. But well, I think some ppl tot that the woman was trying to commit suicide.

Conclusions of the drama: Singaporeans are not that selfish afterall, by lookin @ the number of neighbours who tried to help & by the number of police/fire engines/ambulances summoned (which means more than 1 person called lah...). Another conclusion is, I probably got the Kpo genes from my mother.

Ok lah, he's no bus uncle, he's Weicong, haha. He drove his father's mini bus to school today again. Haha. We had tutorial @ Science & aft lunch he drove to Engin via the SDE car park and we saw the Herbie beetle!! I was so excited and I was like shouting, "Eee!! Herbie!!" Then WC asked me if I wanna take photo of it and he stopped @ the place for a while. Haha. Thanx ah!

Later on we saw a pink beetle but I tot it's a Mini... But I really dunno how to differentiate the 2 lah... aiyoh...

Anyway the weather outside now...
