Steven Lim vs Lee Hom?!?!?!

I cringed even when I was typing the subject... I was googling for Lee Hom cos his latest album was out on 26th Dec. And omg, the 5th link on google.com.sg was this: http://community.mediacorp.com.sg/TV/Chinese/forums/124641/ShowPost.aspx with subject: Steven Lim 林宜傧是新加坡王力宏的接班人

Out of curiousity, I went to the forum site. And wahlao, the person really meant what he/she said, "我发现Steven Lim 林宜傧这位参赛者样貌酷似亚洲天王[王力宏],甚至比王力宏更帅更有形,非常适合当王力宏的接班人,加油,我支持你. "

I was thinking of typing all the comparisons between the 2 of em (looks, body, talents etc etc), but I gave up, cos I think it's a waste of my time since everyone can see the obvious.

Ok I've nothing against fat and ugly ppl (cos I'm one of em HAHA). I just can't stand ppl who are fat and ugly but thinks that they are well-built and good-looking. And I've nothing against ppl who can't sing, I just can't stand ppl who sings absolutely out of tune and thinks they're talented.

Short week this week, YAY

WOLS, low EQ, and low IQ maid

Until now, my family has had 4 different maids for the past 16 years (1 of em even worked for us for 9 years).

Maybe I'm being mean here but I really can't stand this maid we have now (who happens to be with us for nearly 1 year already). Already told my parents not to have 1 since my sis was going to stay in the hostel, and we don't really need a maid.

A lot of time in the morning, we're already rushing for work. And sometimes we try to look for something but we can't find, and we asked the maid, she'll look at you for 3 seconds, "you.... wait... ah....", and she walks at a speed of <1m/s to the drawer and start searching slowly. And most of the times I get pretty pissed off at her actions.

My mum said to me before, "She thinks she's a tai tai mah, everything also can do slowly.

When we go out for steamboat, she really sat there like she's a tai tai, didn't even bother to help throw in food into the steamboat at all! My mum decided to leave her at home for dinner whenever we go out for steamboat.

She also made a crack in my mum's fav-cup-for-20+years, and when my mum asked her, "How can you be so careless?! Do you know this cup is older than Ah Yen?!" She didn't even say sorry. When my mum went back to her room, I asked the maid, "Why didn't u apologise? U broke her favourite cup, u shld apologise at least right? It's basic courtesy." She actually said, "I'm scared of m'am." She makes it sound as if my mum beats her up or something...

I was trying to be nice to her since I think I'm quite mean at her sometimes by giving her irritated faces, so I thought of bringing her to shop a bit since it's near Xmas. I pressed for the lift and was waiting for her by the lift while she locks the door (the lift is just 3m away from my door), and so I think. She closed the wooden door, closed the metal gate, and locked the padlock on the metal gate only.

I was like, "HUH?! There's no one at home! And you're not locking the wooden door?? Anyone can just open like this!!". She replied,"The only time I leave the house with nobody is when I go downstairs to buy things wor." A lot of excuses. I mean it's common sense that u lock all ur doors and gates when there's no one at home, even if u're just going out for 5 to 10min right?

Then I was in the lift with her and for a just-in-case, I asked her,"Did u bring the EZlink card?" And she replied,"I don't have any EZlink card with me wor." ARGH. Then she shld've said earlier!! Had to go back to our floor, and call my dad and ask him where he had left the EZlink card.

Just now, I passed by the kitchen and saw sth which made me irritated again... We've this big plastic bag to contain bags used to contain rubbish. And I saw my Longchamp paper bag inside, together with another long paper bag shaped to contain alcohols. Can someone pls tell me, how can you hold rubbish in a paper bag? Esp when the paper bag is small?! And ARGH, my Longchamp paper bag lah!!

Sometimes I really dunno wat to say... It's like might as well not have a maid, save up the $ and we can go on a short family trip...

Get business class seats from KL to London at SG$2k!

But that's not by SIA, it's by AirAsia:

http://www.airasia.com/site/my/en/page.jsp?reference=aaxXL_desc

Seriously, I don't mind spending that $ to get reclining seats. Taking long haul flights are really miserable.

Too bad the flight starts from KL. Haha

Look what HSBC's gonna get from me (aka Bitchy times are back)

I can no longer stand their poor service anymore.

And to think I referred Gordon and Jiali to it. =/

And to think I spent thousands of $ when I was overseas using it.

I called to ask why was there interest rates on my bill and I was told that the interests are counted starting from the day I overdue, and also on new transactions. Because I spent a lot on my HSBC card when I was away from Singapore, I had to pay like nearly $40 of interests!

I told the officer that they have waived off my $45 late fee, why are they unable to waive off the interests fees? I have already told them that I was overseas, and I can't pay my bill. And the guy told me it's up to the management to decide.

What the hell... I went to do a research, then I realised, all the banks does this (aka the way they charge the interests rates). But I normally do not spend so much on a card and overdue for so long, so the interests were low anyway. On top of that, other banks waive them off for me.

And not forgetting the Europe + Aust saga. I spent less than SG$5 in Denmark, and HSBC tried to call me to check if I'm in Denmark (cos they suspect that the SG$5 is a FRAUD), but there was something wrong with my auto-roam and they can't get me. So they tried calling my home, but don't wanna tell my father what is happening cos of "security issues".

At the same time, I was paying for my lunch at a restaurant, and the waiter swiped my card for 3 times but it doesn't work, super embarassed. Luckily I had my other banks' cards with me. If not I can imagine myself washing dishes at the kitchen. Ok fine, in the end I've to call them up, and I spent a bloody $30+ on calls to rectify the suspension of my card. I even sacarstically said, "Oh, so do I have to tell you ALL the countries that I'm going?" And told em all the currencies I'll be using, and how long I'll be there.

The Europe saga don't end here.

Last week in Europe, 5am in UK, HSBC called me again, asking me to PAY MY BILL. And when I told her I'm overseas and I can't pay my bill, they asked me if I can get someone in Singapore to pay my bill for me. Isn't that double-standards? U don't wanna tell my father that there is a suspicion of fraud, but u're expecting them to pay my bills for me? So now my phone bill adds up to nearly $40.

Came back to Singapore and I sent a complain email to HSBC. The Europe saga ends here, but the Aust saga comes in.

As u all know, 1 week aft I came back from Europe, I went Perth for an assignment (last minute). I called 1 day before I was leaving (I rmb it was a Mon), saying that I'm going to Aust, and ask them to note on the system so they won't call me again to ask me bout frauds.

Guess what? On Wed morning, HSBC called me! "Miss Lim, are you currently in Australia?" That night, I went online to check my HSBC internet account again, and on Tues I actually received a reply from HSBC promising to change their system for the better, and that maybe I can call up the next time before I go overseas. EMPTY PROMISE.

I shot back an email and ask em how I can cancel my card. The reply was
"I would be grateful if you could reconsider your decision to close your account.

Ms Lim, I understand that we now have some work to do to restore your confidence in HSBC. We accept this challenge gratefully."

But I don't see anything that they're doing to "restore my confidence". Last straw liao. I can't take it anymore.

But now, I am damn sian already. I just wanna cancel this card, and at the same time get back my interests fees. But I want to end it with a BAM, so there, I cut up my card.

I think I've got a fever

The Lee Hom fever...

Cos I dreamt about him, can't remember the dream vividly but I rmb something like I was introduced to him by Stef (Stef, not Steph, if you know what I mean =P). Then later on he called me and he asked me to guess who he is, but I couldn't. Then I think I went to his studio or something. I can't rmb the in between but I rmb he called me the 2nd time. Lol

Dreams can be so random. Haha.
1st: there's not reason I'll be introduced
2nd: even if I'm being introduced to him, we won't exchange numbers
3rd: if he really calls me, I would have recognise his (lovely) voice

But I'm still very amused with myself, cos I dun even rmb dreaming bout Jeff Chang at all... Lol. I think I've been watching too many of Lee Hom's youtube vids these few days (even though I've been OTing)

Anyway when I woke up I realised there were 2 missed calls on my phone (my phone was in silent mode), dunno is it coincidence or not with the dream. I called back the number and they told me they called the wrong number -_-

Collection of Lee Hom Music-Man World Tour 2008 concert tix

yeap, I've been contemplating for a v long time, whether to go or not, cos my Paris trip (supposed to have gone last Sat, returning next Mon) wasn't confirmed until last Thurs.

So when it's confirmed that I'm not going Paris, I asked me sis if she wanna go for the concert, I sponsor. She don't want... Cos she wants to study for her exams -_- But anyway, yay! Managed to get Couz Ying to go with me. Heh.

I went to collect the tix today, and it was a Malay lady at the Sistic counter, suffix as S:

S: Wah, you going to see the handsome guy ah?
M: Yah!!
S: But he's very old already right?
M: Huh? No lah! Around 20+, 30 like that
S: Oh really ah?! Hmmm.... But nvm lah, handsome guy
M: Yah, but you know he's very talented? He can play 13 instruments!
S (looks impressed): Really?

Later on I came home, then I realised why the lady thought Lee Hom is an old fart. Because his hair is grey in his concert poster. Haha

Another add-on to the list of "You know you're getting older when..."

... your favourite (music) teacher in secondary school is now a principal of ur good fren's primary school

Yah, he was one of my favourite teachers in Chung Cheng (cos he treats me quite nice), Mr Chua Ying Hwee.

I received a msn from Ruilin:

ger's extremely weak right knee (so) sleepy sent 25/10/2008 12:11 AM:
OMG~!
Chua Ying Hwee from CCHS the teacher u remember? the music teacher?
he became my pri school principal~!
http://schools.moe.edu.sg/rss/

Then I dunno why, but I suddenly rmb that he used to rmb my sis as "Meng Yen's sister". Haha.

Really feel happy for him, cos I think he's quite capable. He really made music lessons enjoyable during school life.

Come to think of it, it has been a long time since I went back to visit Chung Cheng, maybe I shld do so when I've the free time during wkdays. Hmmm....

3 weeks personal escape

As many of u know, I'm away from Singapore for a bit more than 3 wks. 1st day in Copenhagen, walked until my foot v pain...

I guess I'm still having jet lag cos I'm feeling tired already although it's only 9pm in Denmark.

But for a starter, I luv my new Lumix FX36!! Taking self-portraits & close but tall buildings is so much easier b'cos of the 25mm lens, hehe. Some example:

And the meals here are so big... I think I'll gain 5kg when I go back...

Btw, 1st time ever in my life, a guy approached me on the streets. HAHA. But I wonder if he's a Dane or not.

Tired, was waiting for hair to dry, but I don't care already, I'm going to sleep

Nike Human Race

I can't believe it, I ran my 1st 10km. At 1st, I was thinking of only joining next year since I'll have time to train, and I was enticed by the Nike tee.

Quite nice design and v nice cutting. But I realised, this is the last year I can run with paying only $25 (25 and above pays $45). So I joined....

But now come to think of it, to finish running 10km, quite a big accomplishment for me. HAHA. But ok lah, nv really ran 10km... I think I only ran 6 or 7 km but walked the rest. Not sure of my exact timing but I think I ran around 1h45min. Now my thighs are throbbing.

Anyway BJ being a camera whore, managed to get us to take a few photos...

BEFORE & AFTER

Can see the tiredness in our smiles. HAHA.

Anyway quite funny, when we past 5km, these students started to take photo with the tag. I was wondering how come they so excited bout 5km, then I decided to take 7km tag when I reach, since I luv the number 7.

But wth, dun have 7km tag!!! So I decided to take the 8km tag...

Lucky 8? haha. But this run is really not bad, u can choose the charity u wanna donate to, and even donate extra money. Of cos I chose WWF lah, haha, and I even donated another $5. Lalala.

Another big accomplishment is... I finally went to rebond my hair. Haha. After much thoughts. I guess I need more managable hair bah...

Anyways, getting ready for my 3 wk Europe trip~ Even gonna buy a new camera, hehe

The Adventures of Amigo and It

It did a nice land on the blue wall of Amigo's house.

Amigo happened to pass by that blue wall and saw It. Amigo shouted for Dad, "It's It!!"

Dad comes by the blue wall with a rolled up newspaper and hit It. It ran away.

Mum hears noises and comes along, spraying Bygone at the holes suspicious of concealing It.

Everyone went back to do their own stuffs.

Amigo alternates between her PC and laptop by rolling her chair using her feet. She stepped on something. It's It!

Amigo shouted,"I stepped on It!" and took the rolled up newspaper, ready to hit It.

It disappeared again. Dad laughed at Amigo

Amigo, feeling disgusted that she just stepped on It with her bare foot, sprayed somemore Bygone at other suspicious holes.

Amigo was on her way to the WC to wash her foot.

Mum shouted,"It appeared again!" and used her bare hands to catch It.

Mum rushed to the toilet,"Wah wah, It's still moving!!" and threw It into the toilet bowl.

*FLUSH*

The end of It.

What would happen if Pinocchio said, "My nose is about to grow"?

I stumbled upon this Facebook grp named as above. Quite funny eh...

This is the description of the Facebook grp:

If Pinocchio said, "My nose is about to grow," and it didn't, he would have been lying.

But when Pinocchio tells a lie, his nose grows. So at this point, Pinocchio's nose would have grown.

But if Pinocchio's nose grew, that would mean he was telling the truth by saying, "My nose is about to grow," so his nose really shouldn't have grown in the first place.

And if Pinocchio's nose didn't grow, that would mean that by saying, "My nose is about to grow," he was lying.

Sounds interesting to me. Haha

My Dark Knight

Watched The Dark Knight with Bingjia & Zhao Yong, and because I've a 1-for-1 voucher, and another movie voucher, I managed to buy 3 tix at only $10. HAHAHA. Seriously, I thought the curse of "Fires @ PS" will continue, since this is the continuation of Batman Begins, but heng ah, it didn't happen. Lol.

The Dark Knight is superbly nice!! During 80% of the show, my heart was beating faster than usual! Haha. And I could feel BJ xia dao twice loh (his chair shook), tsktsk. I didn't manage to predict most of the part of the movie (as in the tricks up in the Joker's sleeves), although ZY say he could predict most =/ Heath Ledger's portrayal of Joker was really good, very psychotic. What a waste for such an actor to pass away. Talking about that, I haven't watch Brokeback Mountain yet, because when I wanted to watch in the cinema 2+ years ago, my grandma passed away. Wow, 2 years already... still will tear sometimes when I think about it...

But I digressed... Heh. I've been telling some people recently that Batman is my favourite superhero (probably same ranked as the cute Jack-Jack, haha), because he is the only one without special powers or ability but can save the city. But ok lah, I saw on MythBusters that the sharp turn by the high-speed BatMobile is realistically impossible, but who cares, there's no such thing as a superhero anyway. Haha.

Anyway the show is NICE!
Everyone must watch!!

Priority seats on MRT

It has been so long since I last update my blog. Haha.

Just saw on the news that SMRT has pasted a "Priority Seat" sign on the seats beside the door of their trains. Actually it's quite dumb... cos the person who seats down won't be able to see the sign behind them.... they should paste it on the glass or something...

But nonetheless, it is a good courtesy campaign. I rmb we sat on such seat in Korea and the locals there told us to stand up, saying that these seats are "for old people". I was quite impressed by them. I always sit at the back of the bus because the seats are elevated, and so I seldom have the chance to give out my seat, and I am always appalled by some aunties or teenagers who don't give up their seats to the elderlies.

Oh well, I guess I was taught well as a kid. =P

Po ma guys

I tried to babelfish "婆妈", but it translates to "mother-in-law", and when I tried to translate "婆婆妈妈", it translates to "womanishly fussy"... I don't even know there's such a word as "womanishly", win...

Anyway, YAH, why are some guys so po ma??!! In fact, most of my close guy frens are quite po ma... -_-

If u wanted to tell me, then just tell me. If u don't want, don't ask me if i'm ready for the info and then say things like "It's complicated" more than 8 hours later, which is equivalent of not telling but u still leave a mark there, by telling me u'll take 3 days to tell me the complicated story.

Ok I'm not angry or wat, but I admit I am irritated, cos u made me worry abit before I slept yesterday night, and then for another 1/2 day, and then tell me things like that. It's not the 1st time this kinda thing happens, and I'm tired of it cos it made me feel like I'm a "life-saver pack", only useful during emergency (i.e: when someone is ultra down). And trust me, saying sorry to me doesn't help decrease this kinda feeling.

This entry is not to make u feel bad but just to tell u that I'm not around only when u're in need of ppl to cheer u up or hear u out. And I'm not asking u to spit everything out cos I know everyone has their own secrets, which is why I didn't ask u anything even though I read ur blog sometimes.

Oh well, it's BHIM (aka bloody hell it's Monday), better try to go and sleep

Spendthrift me

Somebody complained that I haven't been updating my blog for the past 2 months

Ok, I admit, I'm being lazy, but ah... cannot blame me wat. The reason is cos of this!!

My crimson black DS lite!! For this I abondoned my Zen Vision during work time (cos both are quite heavy). I feel quite bad. Anyway I bought this for $335 with 1 year warranty from seller, and also everything else (excluding the hand strap which I bought myself). But anyway this console is SUPER FUN!!! Anyone who has this shld start playing Ace Attorney series! I'm already on the last story of Game 4. Keke

Die man, I got my bonus and I start splurging... Cos I bought this in Germany:

Looks like a simple bag but it's a Longchamp bag, cost me SG$90+. Usual price is SG$180+ if u buy it in Singapore loh!! But anyway I didn't regret buying cos it's v durable! Though it's getting quite dirty as the days go by. Haha

And not to mention I bought a pair of Birkies at SG$80+. Don't know how much this cost in Singapore though, can't find it. But it's sold online at SG$95.

And with the GSS arriving, shit lah, I spent quite a lot on clothes and shoes the past 2 weeks already. I think $200 to $300 already. Must stop for the moment before I regret. Haha

Jeff Chang - Tao Sheng
张信哲 - 逃生

YAY!! Jeff Chang's new album's gonna be out soon! 15th Apr! But I'll be in Germany -_-

Anyways, yay yay yay, nice song!

Anyway I took a vid of him singing the song during the concert, heh (in case u missed it the prev entry):

Long overdued entry, but since it's Jeff Chang's bday today, I decided to blog bout it. Hehe.

Managed to get 6th row tix, at a discount of 10% somemore! Thanks to Ruilin~ I think next time dun bother her to buy tix liao, v ma fan and I also v paiseh. Hehe. Went to watch with Miao and her cousin (is her name Xin Hui?). Look at the stage, chandeliers! Reminds me of Phantom of the Opera. Haha.

If u ask me how's the concert, of cos I'll say it's nice, and it's totally different from the same-titled concert that I watched in HK back in 2006 (cept for the very-Spanish-arrangement of 过火 (Guo Huo)), so it's still worth my $135.

But still, it was not up to my expectations, because his voice cracked when he tried to hit a high note on 不要对他说 (Bu Yao Dui Ta Shuo)! BOOHOOOO! I think cos he's too old already... U can see the sad video here taken by a Youtuber quite far away from the stage:

And his hair was honestly, super ugly... Maggie mee fringe...

But ok, nonetheless the concert was still NICE! This is a nice montage by another Youtuber:

And I nearly melted when I hear him sing the starting of 我是真的爱你 (Wo Shi Zhen De Ai Ni) w/o any accompliment:

Not to mentioned the 1st time (in the whole world) his new songs surfaces:

牡丹优 Mu Dan You

逃生 Tao Sheng

My camera can't really catch bass well lah, so can't catch wat he's singing. Haha

Anyway for more vids, here's my playlist:

1 funny thing I saw...

This screen is somewhere above the 10th row from the stage, so actually ppl in the front 10 rows can see the screen by just turning their heads. And this words were shown when Jeff was supposed to sing Guo Huo, and before that "anyhow talk". Haha. And apparently the lyrics comes out for songs Jeff's not familiar with. And if u know the screen exists, u can see him looking up, trying to catch the lyrics on the screen, hehe.

Anyway, still 1 of my ever fav songs, 爱如潮水 (Ai Ru Chao Shui):

There's a 17-year-old temp staff (named Celestine) in my dept for the past 1-2 mths, and she dunno the existence of Jeff & has nv ever heard of 爱如潮水 before! Then I thought bout it, she shld be born in 1991, which means when this song came out in 1993, she was only 2 years old, haha. But then again, I can't rmb why I know this song cos I only started listening to Mandarin pop in 1996... But oh well, how can a ultra Jeff fan not know this song? Haha.

So excited! His new Mandarin album coming out in April, hoping for it to be a nice one, his prev Mandarin album was in Sept 06 loh! 18 mths ago!

Happy 41st bday to Jeff~~ (Old liao, but I'm still mesmerized, hehe)

Happy (belated) 24th bday to Steph!! Like I've said, 1 more year before we can be called mid-twenties. Hehe

IT Show 08

Ok, I haven't been updating my blog ever since I started working, and I feel quite guilty. Hehe.

Anyway, I finally own the 2nd thumbdrive of my life today. I bought a 4Gb SanDisk Cruzer Micro USB~ My previous thumbdrive (which I dunno where it is now) is an antique 32Mb thumbdrive =P.

Although this isn't the package of what I bought (I kupo this pic somewhere, hehe). Quite cool, cos it has U3 in it, which allows you to run some programs (like Firefox, and Trillian) from ur thumbdrive. And not to mention the USB connector is retractable! Just push the white tab forward and backward~

So guess how much is this? $30~ Haha. 3+ years ago I bought a 128Mb SD card at a bloody $55 lah! Technology has really improved a lot!

Anyway, I'm going KL tmr~ But only 1 day, haha

Totally disgusted with this kid

I am totally disgusted with this kid who posted under Aunt Agony cateogory on sgForums. MADNESS!

Extracted from: http://www.sgforums.com/forums/12/topics/307698

Hi all ,

This particular girl , was a LONER. Nobody likes her , in the class. A China girl , of course.

This is what had happen today.

-My friends put cockroach on her SHOE , in her bag and spray de-ordourant at her items

-She go report to the HOD that I WAS the one suggesting it and put cockroach on her BAG.

-HOD came and called me out , explain the whole thing.

-Summon for my friends and we "TALK" , that FAKER toot , PRETEND TO CRY BADLY TO THAT HOD.

-HOD called for councillor whereas telling us about BULLYING.

-I was clever , told that HOD that if that's the case , I am not FIT to be in the student council , I wanted to quit. She look at me with her big eyes and did not say anything (What should the hidden mge be? )

-Wrote incident report. (A long one)

-She let form teacher handle the CASE.

-And guess what ? It's not about the cockroach thingy , it's also about the cold shoulder I gave her , calling her loner and and extra.

-She is dame FUCKING asshole larr .. Form teacher told me that she pity her cuz she is lonely etc etc ...

-NVM , Form teacher told me to apologise to her on monday.

-Guess what ? Form teacher called my parents and told them about it .

Half an hour later , that china bitch's mother go call me and asked for my mum.She is like : going to fight "sound" , dame angry or something like that. Then go talk loudly to my parents blablablabla. I took the phone from my mum and threaten to SUE her for harrasing and talk lots of craps.

So she is like what-the-#$@ larrr ... I'm digusted by it , can't really continue.I called form taecher (handphone) and ask her what is going on .. and the story goes on ...

This toot larr , go call me and shout here and there. Ji lar .. I will write more details if possible , moodless to continue

Why is he scolding the poor girl who was bullied and not the people who left the cockroach in her bag?! This kinda person also can be in student council, wahlao...

U had the intention of bullying people and you complained that you were accused??!! ! I mean by stereotyping, I also cannot stand a few particular nationalities of people, but hello, BULLYING people?!

And this kid kept insisting that he is correct. Sheesh...

Bloody service at O2/MWG

I am super duper unhappy now. My warning to all of you... DON'T BUY O2 PHONES! They don't even have an O2 company set up in Singapore, it's being contracted out to a company called MWG.

I finally sent my O2 Graphite for repair because there was a "bird nest", aka a patch of black dots on my screen... I was hoping that it's within warranty but...

My O2 Graphite's LCD screen cracked, which is not in the warranty, and I have to pay $111.85. I admit, I dropped the phone on the floor, twice. But this is my 5th handphone and the 1st phone which has its LCD screen cracked. I dropped my previous phones so many times and yet I didn't get any cracked LCD screen, nor malfunctioning phone...

And bloody hell, I have to pay $48.15 if I don't want to go on with the repair... The personnel at the O2 shop @ Funan don't even know if the repair is under warranty or not, why do I have to pay for that?!

I called up, trying to argue with the lady. I asked her how come the LCD cracked so easily, and she replied saying PDA phones' LCD are very sensitive (hello, my phone is not a PDA), and many customers complained saying that, but it's so ex because not only the LCD screen is changed but other components also. I directly told her next time I won't buy O2 anymore, she could only give a polite chuckle. I can sense that they don't really care but still try to be polite. I think it's precisely because they are the distributor of O2, and not under O2. I asked her why do I have to pay for the $48.15, when the shop personnel told me she's not sure if it's under warranty or not. The lady on the phone then told me that I have to pay for the technician fees.... -_-

In the end I decided to go on with the repair because I'm just starting to like the phone (yes, after 6 mths), and the phone with the same specs will cost at least $300 w/o plan.

Today they called me again, asking me to go collect my phone. AND I BLOODY HAVE TO GO DOWN TO CLEMENCEAU AVENUE TO COLLECT MY PHONE. The bloody collection point only opens from Mon to Fri, till 6pm. When I told her my work ends at 6pm, "I can't help you." was what was replied. ARGH. ROARRRR. She told me I've to PAY IN CASH THE $111.85, and I cannot go down to the Funan collection point BECAUSE I BLOODY HAVE TO PAY.

So my advise is, DON'T BUY O2 PHONES, at least don't when u're in Singapore. The service just SUX.

And now I've to take time off to just go down to collect my phone. Just my luck

How fast are you?

I found this in a forum that I visit and haha, being proud of my typing speed I went to try...

You reached 318 points, so you achieved position 35715 of 247270 on the ranking list

You type 430 characters per minute
You have 79 correct words and
you have 0 wrong words

79 words
Touch Typing

but not v accurate ah, cos I was typing like mad and normally I don't type so fast. so I went to try again... using my normal typing speed...

You reached 321 points, so you achieved position 34004 of 247270 on the ranking list

You type 415 characters per minute
You have 80 correct words and
you have 0 wrong words

80 words
Touch Typing

AH?! Haha. I thought I had relaxed but still type faster then I realised... the number of characters per minute is lower. Haha. And I scanned through all those who has posted their results on the forum, there's a 474 characters per minute, but only 68wpm....

I think the words chosen are too random, they shld have a good mix on the number of char per word. Anyway just for fun, haha

Jeff Chang is in Singapore!

He's here to promote his concert on 15th Mar~

Damn excited. Already asked Ruilin to help me check out the tix. Thanks woman! =D =D

Although I've went to the exact same concert in HK, I still gotta go. I didn't go to his concert the last time he was here in 2004, when he had his concert with Sky Wu, and I promised myself, the next time he's here for his own concert, I'll definitely go. And yap, although I went to the Zpop concert in 2006, that was like wat, only 20min of him singing loh....

I want the complete 2 hours of him singing!! Wahahaha. I wonder who his special guest will be.... Hmmm...

And so the bi%*$^@ness begins

Was on the company bus yesterday, cos was gonna meet Aimei at Tamp aft work.

Can't rmb what exactly were the gals talking bout, but it was sth about the bus uncle (whom they nicknamed 古天乐, cos bus uncle always have black face) did on Xmas Eve.

I suddenly rmb I last min had to do OT on Xmas Eve, and said "Xmas Eve! I had to do OT!" My original voice is already loud (yes, I admit), plus recalling it makes me a bit pek chek, so it was even louder.

Then Papaya (the nickname that Joo has assisted in coming up with) said "Wah, u did OT must say so loud one ah?" I was shock and bu shuang at the same time, but I just explained saying cos thinkin bout it makes me pek chek.

Papaya went again, "U know ah, there was 1 Xmas Eve, I had to do OT until 5pm leh!"

I have a fren who once make fun of me when we did old newspaper collection, he told me to press the doorbell of 3 houses, then stand in front of the middle one and ask, "Do you have any old newspaper to donate?" I digressed but u all know that I normally talk loud, but this Papaya usually talks quite soft (don't know is it act demure or not), then suddenly talk so loud, so tell me, who's the loud one?

And please, I have only been in the company for 7 mths and she, for God-knows-how-long. It's so illogical for her to use her benchmark against mine. Maybe her purple hair dye and all the glue she used on her fake eyelashes had corroded some parts of her brains.

Ok I think I'm being bitchy and mean but argh, I just can't stand her. Since I don't have to work with her, I shall just avoid talking to her. Anyway her nick is Papaya, because she thinks she has been working here long and she can yaya papaya. =P

The thing about Singaporeans

I've this colleague who is a Vietnamese, but grown-up in Australia. He was telling us that he became quite skeptical of Singaporean girls because those that he came into contact with were either...
  1. SPGs
  2. only frenly to expats but rude to locals
  3. unfriendly to any guys who casual-talks to her in the office
etc etc.

Actually for number 3 I can totally understand cos the girl that he is talking about is pretty, those kinda girl that lotsa guys will be after, even if she has a boyfriend, so the % that she got to know some jerks/freaks like Marcus (that I suspect until now Merv still don't believe it happened to me), and it's like once bitten twice shy. But for the rest... I think he's just plain suay that he hasn't met nice Singaporean girls.

He commented that it made him quieten down in the office, which makes me understand why he only came to say hello 1 wk aft I came into the company, when I was sitting right behind him.

And later on he started saying that Singaporean men are too submissive, always begging, and trying to please their gf/wives. I told him I can only recall knowing 1 such person.

I wonder if we are making bad impressions on these expats in Singapore here. Or is it that it's just coincidence that my colleague is meeting all these weird ppl instead of normal Singaporeans like me?
