Dennis is a tourist

Yah yah, tt's wat he said himself, "I'm a tourist now leh!" Haha. N it's so hard to contact him when he's in Singapore! He didn't get a prepaid number in Singapore & me + Chew + Tina couldn't make IDD calls on our hp, so we could only SMS him...

Anyway, he treated us to Goodwood Park Hotel hi-tea buffet yesterday, but Tina insisted on paying hers. Actually the buffet was so-so only leh, not VERY nice. I think Hotel Phoneix's hi-tea is nicer, heh. Chew ate so much cos she had 3 persons to feed, lol.

When was the last time we had a gathering like this man... "N" years ago. I can't even rmb. I think I was still in year 1. N Dennis had this weird trying-to-imitate-Beckham-hair:

Now ppl businessman liao leh! Another one is a fresh graduate and the last one is a mother-to-be. I'm still a poor intern. Boohoo...

But well, it was a pleasant meetup. =) I'm so glad I've friendships that go so far, nearly 10 years!

Anyway, accompanied Chew to visit her gynea yesterday morn. So interesting! They aren't professionals for nothing loh. The babies' heads & abdomen looks the same, I wonder how gyneas differentiate em. And now Chew has a pair of twins, the keep moving ard, I wonder how the gynea differentiate which twin is which.

End of my weekend. And I'm sick. Hai... I hope I'll be sick enuff to take MC soon. =X Haha

Results out

Oh well, I got all Bs for my 4 mods! Haha. As in REAL Bs, no B+s or B-s. But ok lah, I'm glad, but not satisfied. Glad cos I was kinda prepared for the worst, unsatisfied cos my caps is still quite low, considering I only took 4 mods this sem, and that it only improved by 0.07.

I really need to buck up for my remaining 2 semesters, if not I won't even get a 3rd class honours for my 4-year course!!

Anyway, today went Sakae for dinner with Cai, Joo & Merv. Merv look like a begger loh!! Nv cut hair, nv shave. Tsktsk. Anyway, so fun to see em again, haha.

The thing bout VIP

Seems like every1 is comparing who is having the worst VIP, haha....

A: I want site visit! They let B go site visit but nv let me go!!
B (from wat A told me): I go so many site visits already, sit the boat also until v sian...
(PS: A & B are in the same company)
C: ANSYS, ANSYS...
(PS: ANSYS is the system that C's company is using)
D: Doing nothing much but boring old reports and the guys like dun wan to bring me on site but brought another guy intern on site instead
E: My place got one fellow intern, EE one, doing more stuffs than me.
F: Always have meetings meetings....
G: I dunno wat I'm doing...

Me: I'm v tired... -_-zzzZZZ

I'm tired not cos I'm doing lotsa OTs (I'm discouraged to do OT btw...), but cos I've v little time to do my stuffs aft subtracting my work time, so it'll turn out that I sleep only 7 hours or even lesser.

I wun say I'm learning nothing @ all, but I'm doing quite little stuffs. But cos it's only the start of the 2nd wk of my VIP @ this moment, so I'm actually quite satisfied actually, juz that I'm tired, =P.

Relak lah every1, we shld stay happy! 3 mths is not long enuff for us to learn lotsa things, and it's not short also if we wanna make ourselves feel miserable. We muz tahan for the 3 mths, then we'll clear our 6MCs!!!!

I wanted to upload some photos of Chew's wedding, but I'm too tired to do it. I shall do it in the days to come.

Ugly uniform

I'm feeling super tired now. Even @ work I feel so tired, I could fall asleep with my eyes opened & I could even write sth that makes sense!! Nirvana above nirvana, I think I already beat Kel Koh. Lol.

And I juz realised... I wake up @ 5am, reach home @ 6+pm, spend 7 to 8 hrs sleeping, which leaves me 3 to 4 hours of time left for me to slack, shower & eat dinner.... so sad loh!! Can't even go out on wkdays liao.

But oh well, bo bian. 3 mths only, I noe I can do it!!!! Wahahaha. Anyway, here's a cute pic of me in my ugly uniform...

Ok... The real uniform is of only ONE shade of grey & is not an overall (shirt & trousers). Haha. But really, the uniform is super ugly. I dunno y Weicong can wear it everyday to work & off-work w/o changing it. MayB cos he can take the company bus from near his place but I've to take a bloody bus to Clementi and change to the company bus... And yah, the helmet is white for engineers & all the dua liap ppl. Though I'm an intern, the ppl with blue (workers) & yellow (ppl in charge of the workers) helmet havta listen to me, but until now I have yet gave any of em any instructions. Lol. And the boots, I took the smallest size but it's still quite big, my foot nearly drop out. I seriously need to buy 2 pairs of thick socks.

I think my feet are not getting used to wearing hard shoes for the whole day, they'll having blisters now... sian...

Anyway, tmr is Chew's hen nite, but we can't make her drunk like how we made Kaixian, cos she's having a pair of twins!! So exciting sia!! I wanna go hospital to visit her when she's giving birth. Hehe. Too bad Dennis won't be joining us on Sunday, he has some family matters... Tina might not be able to come to... Oh well...

Start of my VIP

2nd work day & the starting really sux. Cos I was told yesterday that there'll be a company bus stopping @ Aljunied MRT station @ 6.02am. I took the 1st 63, which reached my house @ 5.45, reaching the MRT station between 5.50 to 5.55. I waited for the company bus till 6.10 & it didn't appear. I decided to take a train to Clementi & I took a cab from there.

Blur cab driver, he went the wrong way & I was also v blur, but (luckily) I had a street directory with me & when I told him he went the wrong way, he kept mumbling to himself the road name that I was trying to go to. I had to go, "UNCLE, U WENT THE WRONG WAY..." before I catch his attention. Anyway, the cabbie went the wrong way for quite long, and the fare was $9.30 in the end. And the most angry thing was, "Orh! This road ah! If u told me earlier I would have went AYE and exit directly here.... *blah blah*". WTH!! I told him the road in the 1st place & cos he dunno, I told him the nearest main road! AAARRGGGHHH!!

Luckily I wasn't late in the end. And quite a fruitful day cos I gotta walk ard the site & gotta went up a vessel that is still in construction. N I really didn't noe all these kinda ships r so huge!! But anyway I can't say much cos all the info r confidential. Haha. I can't even bring my phone or MP3 player in loh!! In the end I've to substitute with my mum's 6100 & my old discman. So glad I didn't throw the latter away.

And back to the company bus story. I was told to call up the bus contractor & the boss actually said, "Oh, the driver dun stop @ all the designated stops 'cos not all stops there's ppl boarding the bus." WTH!! Then dun tell my company that u've a designated stop there lah!! The driver was told to call me & he actually told me there's 1 stop near Geylang Lor 1, @ 5+am. WTH!! The earliest bus that can reach there will reach @ 6+ lah, madness.

So now I'm waiting for the boss to call me again to tell me a suitable place for me to take the bus, then I shall go sleep, super tired... ARGH!!!

Yap, life sux, but we still need to live with it and to its fullest so that it doesn't look so sucky.

Went SGH to visit my 4姑丈 (uncle). Saw a senior who was there to visit his grandfather, but he told me that his grandfather most prob won't be able to make it. Which makes me wonder again, y r there so many bad news in this 1st 6 mths of 2006?

The most sad one shld be my sis's fren's bro, 15 years old. Suddenly became the only child. He dun even gel his hair now cos when he was applying gel on that faithful day, he heard the crash from downstairs. Poor thing. Hai...

Oh well, we shld be glad that we r able to get to noe more bout our own lives. But for the moment, I'm kinda in a self-pity mood cos I'm officially a poor intern starting this Monday, and my work place is in Tuas... worktime: 7.25am to 4.58pm... which means I've to wake up @ 5am on 1st day of work (2nd day onwards I can take company bus).... Bye to my late sleeping patterns...

Another Korean show

I've been watching Sweet 18 (aka 《新娘18岁》or 낭랑 18세 or Nang-rang 18-sae), starring Lee Dong Gun & Han Ji Hye. The show is damn funny. Ok lah, sometimes v sad and happy also. Started watching the show on Channel U but later on cannot take the temptation n started to watch on youtube. My 5pm-sleeping-time started since. Another laugh and cry, laugh and cry pattern started.

They are super cute together loh. N I read somewhere that they actually became real couples aft this show & "My Boyfriend is Type B", no wonder there was so much chemistry between them in the show. Haha. And I think I'm falling in luv with LDG, 越看越帅!! Haha

So shuai rite?!?! Lol. Ok lah, Rain is cute, not shuai, but LDG is shuai, lol. Oh! N not to mention that he sings v well also!!! Makes me feel like watching his other shows. Grrr.... And guess wat?! I found out that there's a Korean show called "Sang Doo, Let's Go To School" starring both LDG and Rain!! But starting work next Monday liao.... so I dun think I can continue my late sleeping patterns....

But anyway, this couple looks REALLY cute together. Even their height is so compatible!! LDG is 183cm while HJH is 170cm (heard somewhere that a height difference of 13cm is perfect, haha).

Free for the moment

Yay!! I've finished my exams!! And also my cousin's wedding is over, so I'm slackin @ home now =D

The last paper on 28th Apr (Fri) was a super killer, it was my 1st time in NUS to see ppl crying aft an exam... but I dun care much, cos it was my last paper and that everyone will die together means that there'll be moderation. Haha.

Aft the paper I had to leave sch for an interview with a company in Tuas... *faints* Luckily Samantha is also going and I took a ride in her father's car =D The person who interviewed us told us that they'll confirm the placement with us by the next day (Sat), but no calls from em even until today & Samantha called em up. She was told that we're not selected... Now I've to juz hope that another company is accepting me...

Anyway, had the hen nite party for Cousin Kaixian on Sat nite. She was saboed until she was drunk and can't even sign her credit card and Yingzi had to drive me and her home. N Kaixian was puking all the way on the car... Ooopss. But oh well, she got a kiss from quite a cute angmoh. Haha. (Actually we told her to get someone to kiss her, lol)

Hmmm... Ok, Lijun wasn't so wicked cos Rose actually got 2 of her frens to come and act as strangers for the sabo....

Yingzi was quite wicked cos she ordered red & white wine n made Kaixian drink.

Anyway it was quite a fun nite (minus the vomit part). Btw, the place we went was Loof and it's a nice place to chill out. It's outdoors but cooling. The cocktails are ard $18 per cup. Abit quite ex for me, but I wasn't the one paying! =D

Then yesterday was the wedding day. Reached Kaixian's place @ 7+ in the morn... N we started making "breakfast" for Yongkai (the groom) and his brothers...

The drink kinda look good rite? But guess wat's inside the drink? Lemon juice, lime juice, mustard, mango yoghurt (Yongkai hates mustard & mango), 1 raw egg, vinegar, tobasco. Haha. I wanted to go buy wasabi, but couldn't find it in ntuc. Haha. N there was also crackers with mustard n tobasco too. The brothers actually enjoyed the crackers!! Lol. Aft the tasty treat, the guy were supposed to wear these disposable underwears outside that Lijun bought n dance to the Full Monty song. The guys actually tore the underwears n swing and dance. Lol. Anyway our activities were cut short cos it was getting late. Went over to Yongkai's place & back to Kaixian's place again.

Went home to take a nap b4 leaving for the hotel for my make up and hairdo. Their suite had a v v nice view!!

Ok... My make up looks weird. My conclusion is I shouldn't put non-skin tone eyeshadow... I always look weird with eyeshadow colours other than skin tone ones. But I quite like my hair!

But it's v messy. I took like 15 min to take out all the clips when I was at home.
