Once upon a time, there was a competition called Supergroup. Any group with 2 or more members that are above 16 and below XX age (I 4got, lol) and sings Mandarin songs can join in.
The most lan grp is called Winter Snow. The gers in the grp can't sing for nuts, they seldom can be heard and when u can hear em, they sound like they r screeching. N the grp leader actually posted an entry clarifying that there is mike problem so the gers can't be heard. I actually prefer the mike to have problem... N perhaps there's only 1 guy who can sing OK-ly. During a few shows, he looked like the "star" (not really like a star, but as compared to his grp members...), and the rest look like backup dancers.
Auburn was out 1 wk b4 Winter Snow. They had this self-high vocalist, a super cool looking keyboardist, whom made me suddenly had an urge to learn keyboard, lol. Actually this grp is quite creative lah, but vocalist is so-so only (PS: The keyboardist sound better than the vocalist)
Juz-C (read as Just-See) is an a capella grp which consists of 6 Malays. They r really good, but there's this more big-sized guy whom I dun really like the voice, but (unfortunately,) most of time he's the lead singer. But they are quite cute lah, can dance quite OK-ly and the harmonise really well. I think they dun need this competition to get famous though & I really pei fu em to sing in Mandarin. They already sang the channel song of a particular channel.
好力兵 aka Horlicks Beng can be considered the youngest grp. Kinda cute, the drummer can sing, but the guitarist cum vocalist always sound like he shouts, not v nice, and the keyboardist definitely can't sing, but he is a good beat box.
Ood:Stok is a grp that sings hip-hop songs only. @ the beginning, they were quite interesting but as time goes, they really can only sing songs with rap. And there's this super extra vocalist who always shake his head like nobody's business (there's 2 vocalist).
These were the 5 grps from the 2nd revival round.
For the remaining grps:
The 2nd most lan grp in the compeition is called Cha Shao Bao. N most of em look like baos. The vocalist can't really sing though I muz say the band is quite good. But wat is a band w/o a good vocalist?
Another of the remaining grp is called Satanised (was originally called Satan9 cos they had 9 ppl in the grp). The lead singer looks like an ex-Idol contestant, there's a v chio-looking guitarist and the band is good. The lead singer, so-so only lah...
K3 is actually a very good grp, but I feel that they juz dun have star quality. The vocalist is always wearing a hat/cap no matter which show. No 1 has ever seen his real hair yet I think... Anyway, all of em has nice voice. There was this once the guitarist injured his finger & the vocalist took over him while the guitarist took over the vocalist. They sounded as good!
BUDS is another good grp. They r actually brothers & most of the time they harmonise v well. They even won 1st runner up in another competition b4 Supergroup. And they r super tall!! (PS: the younger bro is cuter, lol)
Last but not least.... SPIRIT! My fav grp. They can really dance v v v well (cos nearly all of em are dance instructors, lol). As for their singing, quite ok lah, can improve. But as time passes, their singing really improved. And they r soooo shuai!!! Lol.
Ok, end of my story. The story is purely fictional and any resemblance of anyone in real life is a coincidence. =)
