HK trip

Ok, a long overdued entry and I didn't really took lotsa photos in HK....

1st day in HK, checked in our hostel in the busy Mongkok. Took an airport express bus (a journey that costs SGD$6!!) & the bus stop is only a 5-min walk to the hostel! Anyway a view of the building that houses the hostel:

Look like haunted house rite? Lol.

My aunt brought us to walk ard in Nu Ren Jie (Ladies Street) & went even further this Esprit Outlet that sells the past season clothes mostly @ half price! Spent SGD$100 there. Haha.

Aft that I went Jeff Chang's concert @ HK Coliseum with Cousin Bud. The photos of Jeff are too small lah... so I decided to post this pic:

Their coliseum is v big loh! And the concert tix r so cheap as compared to Singapore! The most ex one is only SGD$80 & the cheapest is only SGD$20! Cousin Bud sponsored the concert tix & she bought the SGD$20 one, so I can't really complain =P

In the middle of the nite @ 1+am, Cousin Ying called me (I was sleeping on the 2nd deck of the bed, above her), saying she's feeling v cold. In the end I realised cos she was quite ya-ya, nv cover herself with the blanket. Mingyan & me decided to go downstairs to buy couz sth hot cos she was trembling. Wat an adventure. We went out of the hostel & we saw a guy half-naked & smoking. Think we were quite scared. Lol. But when we went downstairs, we saw.... the place was like 9pm in Orchard Road lah... there were many ppl walking ard, buses still operating, taxis horning like nobody's business.... we concluded that it's actually quite safe once we get out of our building. Haha

2nd day, we went to the restaurant where we bought couz her Ovaltine last nite.

A typical brunch for us (cos we usually wake up @ 11am, haha). That's not all u noe? Take a look @ the menu:

HK$27 which is ard SGD$5! V filling. And the funny thing in HK is the set meals are usually cheaper than the main course itself. Haha. Aft that I went to my relatives house to do proj while Cousin Ying & Mingyan went to shop ard. They went APM!! BOOHOO. Anyway, my relatives house is situated in a relatively new housing estate...

V condo-lookalike rite?! V nice place loh. It became even nicer @ nite:

The 3rd day, Mingyan came back to Singapore while me & Cousin Ying went shopping @ Mongkok. We went Hua Yuan Jie (Garden Street) & this 13th storey shopping ctr called Langham Place. Aft that went to my relatives house again to eat my medicine (cos muz brew one). And later on we went to a place called Lok Fu and we ate KFC there....

The KFC sells rice loh!! Lol

The next day we went Ocean Park!

We were kinda lucky cos we saw Giant Panda An An eating! Here's the video:

And we took the cable car from the lowlands to the highlands...

We weren't in the cable car in the picture, we were actually juz standing in front of a blue screen. Lol. Anyway this picture havta buy from the counter after we reached the high lands. We also saw the dolphins in their enclosure. There was this dolphin which keep coming up to the weighing machine... So trained. Haha

Then we took this ride that spirals up to let u view the scenery...

And we went to the jellyfish aquarium that was newly opened:

And we watched the seal & dolphin show...

The seals are super funny & cute! The story goes that one of the seal knocked one of the trainer into the pool & the guy is "screaming for help"...

The other trainer "told" the seal to save the trainer-in-distress & it threw a super small float into the pool...

The other seal saved the trainer & gave it a "kiss of life". But I didn't managed to really take that scene, lol.

Later @ nite we went to walk ard in HK's CBD area & took a tram! But I didn't managed to take a photo of the tram cos it was v crowded.

On the 5th day, went to my relative's house to do proj & see doc again while the rest went to Lantau Island to look @ the Buddha statue. At night, I went to walk ard Temple Street & Star Ferry with Cousin Bud & fren.

On the last day it was kinda mad rush to shop for me... cos there was so many things I needed to buy. Haha. Our flight was supposed to leave HK @ 8pm but it only left @ 10pm.... In the end we reached Singapore at nearly 2am. Aiyoh...

Ok... think that's all liao. Oh! And I 4got to take a picture of the hostel that I stayed in... But it has a website! http://www.kingwahhostel.com/main_e.htm Small but cheap & v convenient place! The Mongkok MTR station is juz 5min walk away. U can consider staying @ that place if u're going HK. =D
