Look what HSBC's gonna get from me (aka Bitchy times are back)

I can no longer stand their poor service anymore.

And to think I referred Gordon and Jiali to it. =/

And to think I spent thousands of $ when I was overseas using it.

I called to ask why was there interest rates on my bill and I was told that the interests are counted starting from the day I overdue, and also on new transactions. Because I spent a lot on my HSBC card when I was away from Singapore, I had to pay like nearly $40 of interests!

I told the officer that they have waived off my $45 late fee, why are they unable to waive off the interests fees? I have already told them that I was overseas, and I can't pay my bill. And the guy told me it's up to the management to decide.

What the hell... I went to do a research, then I realised, all the banks does this (aka the way they charge the interests rates). But I normally do not spend so much on a card and overdue for so long, so the interests were low anyway. On top of that, other banks waive them off for me.

And not forgetting the Europe + Aust saga. I spent less than SG$5 in Denmark, and HSBC tried to call me to check if I'm in Denmark (cos they suspect that the SG$5 is a FRAUD), but there was something wrong with my auto-roam and they can't get me. So they tried calling my home, but don't wanna tell my father what is happening cos of "security issues".

At the same time, I was paying for my lunch at a restaurant, and the waiter swiped my card for 3 times but it doesn't work, super embarassed. Luckily I had my other banks' cards with me. If not I can imagine myself washing dishes at the kitchen. Ok fine, in the end I've to call them up, and I spent a bloody $30+ on calls to rectify the suspension of my card. I even sacarstically said, "Oh, so do I have to tell you ALL the countries that I'm going?" And told em all the currencies I'll be using, and how long I'll be there.

The Europe saga don't end here.

Last week in Europe, 5am in UK, HSBC called me again, asking me to PAY MY BILL. And when I told her I'm overseas and I can't pay my bill, they asked me if I can get someone in Singapore to pay my bill for me. Isn't that double-standards? U don't wanna tell my father that there is a suspicion of fraud, but u're expecting them to pay my bills for me? So now my phone bill adds up to nearly $40.

Came back to Singapore and I sent a complain email to HSBC. The Europe saga ends here, but the Aust saga comes in.

As u all know, 1 week aft I came back from Europe, I went Perth for an assignment (last minute). I called 1 day before I was leaving (I rmb it was a Mon), saying that I'm going to Aust, and ask them to note on the system so they won't call me again to ask me bout frauds.

Guess what? On Wed morning, HSBC called me! "Miss Lim, are you currently in Australia?" That night, I went online to check my HSBC internet account again, and on Tues I actually received a reply from HSBC promising to change their system for the better, and that maybe I can call up the next time before I go overseas. EMPTY PROMISE.

I shot back an email and ask em how I can cancel my card. The reply was
"I would be grateful if you could reconsider your decision to close your account.

Ms Lim, I understand that we now have some work to do to restore your confidence in HSBC. We accept this challenge gratefully."

But I don't see anything that they're doing to "restore my confidence". Last straw liao. I can't take it anymore.

But now, I am damn sian already. I just wanna cancel this card, and at the same time get back my interests fees. But I want to end it with a BAM, so there, I cut up my card.

I think I've got a fever

The Lee Hom fever...

Cos I dreamt about him, can't remember the dream vividly but I rmb something like I was introduced to him by Stef (Stef, not Steph, if you know what I mean =P). Then later on he called me and he asked me to guess who he is, but I couldn't. Then I think I went to his studio or something. I can't rmb the in between but I rmb he called me the 2nd time. Lol

Dreams can be so random. Haha.
1st: there's not reason I'll be introduced
2nd: even if I'm being introduced to him, we won't exchange numbers
3rd: if he really calls me, I would have recognise his (lovely) voice

But I'm still very amused with myself, cos I dun even rmb dreaming bout Jeff Chang at all... Lol. I think I've been watching too many of Lee Hom's youtube vids these few days (even though I've been OTing)

Anyway when I woke up I realised there were 2 missed calls on my phone (my phone was in silent mode), dunno is it coincidence or not with the dream. I called back the number and they told me they called the wrong number -_-

Collection of Lee Hom Music-Man World Tour 2008 concert tix

yeap, I've been contemplating for a v long time, whether to go or not, cos my Paris trip (supposed to have gone last Sat, returning next Mon) wasn't confirmed until last Thurs.

So when it's confirmed that I'm not going Paris, I asked me sis if she wanna go for the concert, I sponsor. She don't want... Cos she wants to study for her exams -_- But anyway, yay! Managed to get Couz Ying to go with me. Heh.

I went to collect the tix today, and it was a Malay lady at the Sistic counter, suffix as S:

S: Wah, you going to see the handsome guy ah?
M: Yah!!
S: But he's very old already right?
M: Huh? No lah! Around 20+, 30 like that
S: Oh really ah?! Hmmm.... But nvm lah, handsome guy
M: Yah, but you know he's very talented? He can play 13 instruments!
S (looks impressed): Really?

Later on I came home, then I realised why the lady thought Lee Hom is an old fart. Because his hair is grey in his concert poster. Haha

Another add-on to the list of "You know you're getting older when..."

... your favourite (music) teacher in secondary school is now a principal of ur good fren's primary school

Yah, he was one of my favourite teachers in Chung Cheng (cos he treats me quite nice), Mr Chua Ying Hwee.

I received a msn from Ruilin:

ger's extremely weak right knee (so) sleepy sent 25/10/2008 12:11 AM:
OMG~!
Chua Ying Hwee from CCHS the teacher u remember? the music teacher?
he became my pri school principal~!
http://schools.moe.edu.sg/rss/

Then I dunno why, but I suddenly rmb that he used to rmb my sis as "Meng Yen's sister". Haha.

Really feel happy for him, cos I think he's quite capable. He really made music lessons enjoyable during school life.

Come to think of it, it has been a long time since I went back to visit Chung Cheng, maybe I shld do so when I've the free time during wkdays. Hmmm....

3 weeks personal escape

As many of u know, I'm away from Singapore for a bit more than 3 wks. 1st day in Copenhagen, walked until my foot v pain...

I guess I'm still having jet lag cos I'm feeling tired already although it's only 9pm in Denmark.

But for a starter, I luv my new Lumix FX36!! Taking self-portraits & close but tall buildings is so much easier b'cos of the 25mm lens, hehe. Some example:

And the meals here are so big... I think I'll gain 5kg when I go back...

Btw, 1st time ever in my life, a guy approached me on the streets. HAHA. But I wonder if he's a Dane or not.

Tired, was waiting for hair to dry, but I don't care already, I'm going to sleep

Nike Human Race

I can't believe it, I ran my 1st 10km. At 1st, I was thinking of only joining next year since I'll have time to train, and I was enticed by the Nike tee.

Quite nice design and v nice cutting. But I realised, this is the last year I can run with paying only $25 (25 and above pays $45). So I joined....

But now come to think of it, to finish running 10km, quite a big accomplishment for me. HAHA. But ok lah, nv really ran 10km... I think I only ran 6 or 7 km but walked the rest. Not sure of my exact timing but I think I ran around 1h45min. Now my thighs are throbbing.

Anyway BJ being a camera whore, managed to get us to take a few photos...

BEFORE & AFTER

Can see the tiredness in our smiles. HAHA.

Anyway quite funny, when we past 5km, these students started to take photo with the tag. I was wondering how come they so excited bout 5km, then I decided to take 7km tag when I reach, since I luv the number 7.

But wth, dun have 7km tag!!! So I decided to take the 8km tag...

Lucky 8? haha. But this run is really not bad, u can choose the charity u wanna donate to, and even donate extra money. Of cos I chose WWF lah, haha, and I even donated another $5. Lalala.

Another big accomplishment is... I finally went to rebond my hair. Haha. After much thoughts. I guess I need more managable hair bah...

Anyways, getting ready for my 3 wk Europe trip~ Even gonna buy a new camera, hehe

The Adventures of Amigo and It

It did a nice land on the blue wall of Amigo's house.

Amigo happened to pass by that blue wall and saw It. Amigo shouted for Dad, "It's It!!"

Dad comes by the blue wall with a rolled up newspaper and hit It. It ran away.

Mum hears noises and comes along, spraying Bygone at the holes suspicious of concealing It.

Everyone went back to do their own stuffs.

Amigo alternates between her PC and laptop by rolling her chair using her feet. She stepped on something. It's It!

Amigo shouted,"I stepped on It!" and took the rolled up newspaper, ready to hit It.

It disappeared again. Dad laughed at Amigo

Amigo, feeling disgusted that she just stepped on It with her bare foot, sprayed somemore Bygone at other suspicious holes.

Amigo was on her way to the WC to wash her foot.

Mum shouted,"It appeared again!" and used her bare hands to catch It.

Mum rushed to the toilet,"Wah wah, It's still moving!!" and threw It into the toilet bowl.

*FLUSH*

The end of It.

What would happen if Pinocchio said, "My nose is about to grow"?

I stumbled upon this Facebook grp named as above. Quite funny eh...

This is the description of the Facebook grp:

If Pinocchio said, "My nose is about to grow," and it didn't, he would have been lying.

But when Pinocchio tells a lie, his nose grows. So at this point, Pinocchio's nose would have grown.

But if Pinocchio's nose grew, that would mean he was telling the truth by saying, "My nose is about to grow," so his nose really shouldn't have grown in the first place.

And if Pinocchio's nose didn't grow, that would mean that by saying, "My nose is about to grow," he was lying.

Sounds interesting to me. Haha
