Bloody service at O2/MWG

I am super duper unhappy now. My warning to all of you... DON'T BUY O2 PHONES! They don't even have an O2 company set up in Singapore, it's being contracted out to a company called MWG.

I finally sent my O2 Graphite for repair because there was a "bird nest", aka a patch of black dots on my screen... I was hoping that it's within warranty but...

My O2 Graphite's LCD screen cracked, which is not in the warranty, and I have to pay $111.85. I admit, I dropped the phone on the floor, twice. But this is my 5th handphone and the 1st phone which has its LCD screen cracked. I dropped my previous phones so many times and yet I didn't get any cracked LCD screen, nor malfunctioning phone...

And bloody hell, I have to pay $48.15 if I don't want to go on with the repair... The personnel at the O2 shop @ Funan don't even know if the repair is under warranty or not, why do I have to pay for that?!

I called up, trying to argue with the lady. I asked her how come the LCD cracked so easily, and she replied saying PDA phones' LCD are very sensitive (hello, my phone is not a PDA), and many customers complained saying that, but it's so ex because not only the LCD screen is changed but other components also. I directly told her next time I won't buy O2 anymore, she could only give a polite chuckle. I can sense that they don't really care but still try to be polite. I think it's precisely because they are the distributor of O2, and not under O2. I asked her why do I have to pay for the $48.15, when the shop personnel told me she's not sure if it's under warranty or not. The lady on the phone then told me that I have to pay for the technician fees.... -_-

In the end I decided to go on with the repair because I'm just starting to like the phone (yes, after 6 mths), and the phone with the same specs will cost at least $300 w/o plan.

Today they called me again, asking me to go collect my phone. AND I BLOODY HAVE TO GO DOWN TO CLEMENCEAU AVENUE TO COLLECT MY PHONE. The bloody collection point only opens from Mon to Fri, till 6pm. When I told her my work ends at 6pm, "I can't help you." was what was replied. ARGH. ROARRRR. She told me I've to PAY IN CASH THE $111.85, and I cannot go down to the Funan collection point BECAUSE I BLOODY HAVE TO PAY.

So my advise is, DON'T BUY O2 PHONES, at least don't when u're in Singapore. The service just SUX.

And now I've to take time off to just go down to collect my phone. Just my luck

How fast are you?

I found this in a forum that I visit and haha, being proud of my typing speed I went to try...

You reached 318 points, so you achieved position 35715 of 247270 on the ranking list

You type 430 characters per minute
You have 79 correct words and
you have 0 wrong words

79 words
Touch Typing

but not v accurate ah, cos I was typing like mad and normally I don't type so fast. so I went to try again... using my normal typing speed...

You reached 321 points, so you achieved position 34004 of 247270 on the ranking list

You type 415 characters per minute
You have 80 correct words and
you have 0 wrong words

80 words
Touch Typing

AH?! Haha. I thought I had relaxed but still type faster then I realised... the number of characters per minute is lower. Haha. And I scanned through all those who has posted their results on the forum, there's a 474 characters per minute, but only 68wpm....

I think the words chosen are too random, they shld have a good mix on the number of char per word. Anyway just for fun, haha

Jeff Chang is in Singapore!

He's here to promote his concert on 15th Mar~

Damn excited. Already asked Ruilin to help me check out the tix. Thanks woman! =D =D

Although I've went to the exact same concert in HK, I still gotta go. I didn't go to his concert the last time he was here in 2004, when he had his concert with Sky Wu, and I promised myself, the next time he's here for his own concert, I'll definitely go. And yap, although I went to the Zpop concert in 2006, that was like wat, only 20min of him singing loh....

I want the complete 2 hours of him singing!! Wahahaha. I wonder who his special guest will be.... Hmmm...

And so the bi%*$^@ness begins

Was on the company bus yesterday, cos was gonna meet Aimei at Tamp aft work.

Can't rmb what exactly were the gals talking bout, but it was sth about the bus uncle (whom they nicknamed 古天乐, cos bus uncle always have black face) did on Xmas Eve.

I suddenly rmb I last min had to do OT on Xmas Eve, and said "Xmas Eve! I had to do OT!" My original voice is already loud (yes, I admit), plus recalling it makes me a bit pek chek, so it was even louder.

Then Papaya (the nickname that Joo has assisted in coming up with) said "Wah, u did OT must say so loud one ah?" I was shock and bu shuang at the same time, but I just explained saying cos thinkin bout it makes me pek chek.

Papaya went again, "U know ah, there was 1 Xmas Eve, I had to do OT until 5pm leh!"

I have a fren who once make fun of me when we did old newspaper collection, he told me to press the doorbell of 3 houses, then stand in front of the middle one and ask, "Do you have any old newspaper to donate?" I digressed but u all know that I normally talk loud, but this Papaya usually talks quite soft (don't know is it act demure or not), then suddenly talk so loud, so tell me, who's the loud one?

And please, I have only been in the company for 7 mths and she, for God-knows-how-long. It's so illogical for her to use her benchmark against mine. Maybe her purple hair dye and all the glue she used on her fake eyelashes had corroded some parts of her brains.

Ok I think I'm being bitchy and mean but argh, I just can't stand her. Since I don't have to work with her, I shall just avoid talking to her. Anyway her nick is Papaya, because she thinks she has been working here long and she can yaya papaya. =P

The thing about Singaporeans

I've this colleague who is a Vietnamese, but grown-up in Australia. He was telling us that he became quite skeptical of Singaporean girls because those that he came into contact with were either...
  1. SPGs
  2. only frenly to expats but rude to locals
  3. unfriendly to any guys who casual-talks to her in the office
etc etc.

Actually for number 3 I can totally understand cos the girl that he is talking about is pretty, those kinda girl that lotsa guys will be after, even if she has a boyfriend, so the % that she got to know some jerks/freaks like Marcus (that I suspect until now Merv still don't believe it happened to me), and it's like once bitten twice shy. But for the rest... I think he's just plain suay that he hasn't met nice Singaporean girls.

He commented that it made him quieten down in the office, which makes me understand why he only came to say hello 1 wk aft I came into the company, when I was sitting right behind him.

And later on he started saying that Singaporean men are too submissive, always begging, and trying to please their gf/wives. I told him I can only recall knowing 1 such person.

I wonder if we are making bad impressions on these expats in Singapore here. Or is it that it's just coincidence that my colleague is meeting all these weird ppl instead of normal Singaporeans like me?
